public Archaeology Forum​

We have exciting news!
On the first Thursday of every month the Comer Museum will be hosting a Public Archaeology Forum in the afternoons from 3 PM - 7 PM. The next one is scheduled for October 2nd. These events are open to the general public. Anyone interested in local history, prehistory, or archaeology is encouraged to attend! Come speak with our resident archaeologist and discuss local history topics, bring artifacts for identification, or just engage in interesting conversation about our area's rich history and cultural resources. We look forward to seeing you there!
Southern Ghost Girls Paranormal Investigation !!
Don't miss the Southern Ghost Girls upcoming investigation here at the museum September 27th!! Tickets for the event are now available. If the ghosts these ghoulish gals stir up aren't exciting enough, there will also be nachos. This is nacho average ghost hunt, so come participate!

Annual Photo Contest
The Comer Museum and Arts Center will be hosting its annual photography contest again this year during the month of September. The contest is open to all amateur photographers, so get your submissions in today! Please review the contest rules and fill out an application before the August 25th to compete.​
Winners will be announced during a reception at the museum from 6PM - 8PM on September 18th. Let's see what you got!

The Comer museum featured artist for the month of October is Doug Shoemaker. Come enjoy his sometimes dark, often whimsical pop cultural art just in time for the Halloween season.
